El pasado jueves 6 de octubre se celebr\u00f3 el D\u00eda del Traductor, instancia que sirvi\u00f3 para reunir a profesores y estudiantes de la carrera de Traducci\u00f3n e Interpretariado Biling\u00fce en el Auditorio de la Universidad en una ceremonia especial que cont\u00f3 con discursos de autoridades y actividades realizadas por alumnos y alumnas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

La instancia, que cont\u00f3 con la presencia del Rector Fernando de la Jara fue inaugurada por la Directora de la carrera, Liuba Libedinsky, quien hizo \u00e9nfasis en el rol de la traducci\u00f3n en tiempos modernos y la trayectoria de la escuela, que ya cumpli\u00f3 21 a\u00f1os de existencia, y que hoy cuenta con m\u00e1s de 440 alumnos y un Centro de Traducci\u00f3n como elemento diferenciador. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Decano de la Facultad de Comunicaciones, Juan Antonio Mu\u00f1oz, dio un discurso sobre la cultura y la labor del traductor como mediador cultural. \u00abToda traducci\u00f3n es un tremendo atrevimiento, pero uno necesario para entendernos\u00bb, dijo en un discurso en el que abarc\u00f3 los sentidos que tiene el concepto de cultura, los sistemas de poder que constituye y las implicancias que tiene especialmente en la actualidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Como invitada especial estuvo presente la destacada traductora Mar\u00eda Eugenia Poblete, quien se ha especializado en la traducci\u00f3n en el \u00e1rea humanista, adem\u00e1s de ser docente en diversas universidades. La profesional expuso sobre \u00abNuevos nichos laborales para el traductor e int\u00e9rprete del Siglo XXI\u00bb, en donde destacan los servicios de valor agregado como consultor\u00edas, edici\u00f3n, validaci\u00f3n y edici\u00f3n y publicaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luego de los discursos, la alumna Sof\u00eda Flores cant\u00f3 el cl\u00e1sico de los 80 \u00abTake my breath away\u00bb, de Berlin y hecha famosa por la pel\u00edcula Top Gun.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
