En este escenario, el periodismo de datos est\u00e1 reivindicando el papel de esta profesi\u00f3n<\/strong>\u201d, asegura la periodista de Universidad UNIACC, Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9 Arredondo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La profesional, quien es gerente de Desarrollo de Negocios de E&C Data, impartir\u00e1 el taller dirigido a egresados de la carrera titulado \u201cBig data para el periodismo de investigaci\u00f3n: \u00bfC\u00f3mo reivindicar la labor de los medios?\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El taller -sin costo para los interesados- se desarrollar\u00e1 el 1 y 3 de octubre, en ambas ocasiones de 19:15 a 22:30 horas, en Avenida Salvador 1200, Providencia. Las inscripciones se efect\u00faan al correo veronica.alarcon@dev.martech.cl<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En la primera sesi\u00f3n, se definir\u00e1 el periodismo de datos y se estudiar\u00e1n casos; en tanto que el mi\u00e9rcoles 3 se realizar\u00e1n ejercicios pr\u00e1cticos con bases de datos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En visi\u00f3n de Arredondo, \u201chasta hace poco, los medios eran meros repetidores de comunicados de prensa. De alguna forma, el periodismo de datos vuelve a dar el poder al periodista que trabaja en este contexto, quien debe chequear, rechequear y volver a chequear informaci\u00f3n, teniendo as\u00ed tambi\u00e9n la posibilidad de generar contenidos nuevos<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arredondo destaca como ejemplo de la trascendencia del periodismo de datos el caso de Panama Papers<\/a><\/em>, \u201cen el que se refleja c\u00f3mo estas filtraciones del bufete Monseca mostraron que el periodismo pod\u00eda ser algo m\u00e1s que repetir informaci\u00f3n o comunicados de prensa<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vinculado con el Consorcio Internacional de Periodistas de Investigaci\u00f3n (ICIJ) y a 109 medios de comunicaci\u00f3n, el proyecto Panama Papers <\/em>incluy\u00f3 11 millones de registros del bufete paname\u00f1o de abogados, Mossack Fonseca, en los que se incluye informaci\u00f3n sobre c\u00f3mo distintas personalidades, incluyendo jefes de Estado, empresarios, la FIFA, traficantes y otros, ocultaron sus fortunas en para\u00edsos fiscales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCon los datos puedes poner en jaque a las autoridades en asuntos de transparencia, y con las cifras se puede certificar que algo efectivamente ocurre o no<\/strong>\u201d, asegura la periodista.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
